Saturday Makes

A 3" mandala made using zwirknopf button techniques. It uses navy, royal, and sky blues along with forest green, deep purple, hot pink, and mauve.

In addition to spinning up this site today, I decided to make another mandala during Torah Study.

Thankfully, my Rabbi and the rest of the folks know that if my hands aren’t busy, my brain won’t engage either, and none of them complain when I have my camera on but my eyes focused on what’s in my hands.

For this one I used a 3″ brass ring as the base.

Maurice Brassard Tencel 8/2, Lunatic Fringe Cotton 10/2, in varying shades of each.

I didn’t really have a pattern for this one – in the best spirit of mandalas everywhere I just went with the flow!

Also, I took time to photograph some of my clocks I made over the summer; I am trying to get them into a gallery so I needed a portfolio of work to display.
